Who is Mr. Jayne?
This is my 13th year teaching elementary school. 14th if you count the fact that I spent an entire year as a student teacher in the same elementary school I'm in now.
Prior to teaching, I worked in corporate America for several companies as a data analyst. Longing for the same passion about my work that my colleagues seemed to have, I left the business world in search of something better. I found that and more in teaching.
I raise horseshoe crabs in my classroom as a part of a program sponsored by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
In 2005 I was selected as a local Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year.
